- 1720 Samuel Whitbread born
- 1742 Whitbread starts brewing at the Goat Brewhouse, Whitecross, Street, London
- 1750 Moves Brewery to nearby Chiswell Street
- 1796 First Brewer to exceed annual production of 200,000 barrels
- 1889 Becomes a Limited Company
- 1948 Becomes a Public Company under Colonel Bill Whitbread
- 1976 Brewing stops at Chiswell Street.
- 1989 Boddingtons Brewery acquired
- 2000 Sale of Whitbread Beer Company The Beer company and its three remaining brewers were sold to Belgium headquartered Interbrew for £450 million. The Beer Company was promptly renamed Interbrew UK
- 2002 Two Bass breweries and a portfolio of brands headed by Tennents Lager & Bass Ale formally become part of Interbrew UK
- 2004 InBev is formed, Interbrew and Companhia de Bebidas das Américas (AmBev) combined to create what is now the world's premier brewer
- 2005 Interbrew UK becomes InBev UK Limited
