Stella Artois debuts latest Recyclage Du Luxe show

LONDON, 25 June 2010 - Stella Artois is highlighting the launch of its new lightweight bottle with an online TV series that is inspired by the 1960s and features exclusive content from Marina and the Diamonds and Mystery Jets.

The four-part show is called 'CO2eux Soirée' and takes place inside one of Stella Artois' new lightweight bottles. 'CO2eux Soirée' is a French chic-yet-comical variety show set in 1963, hosted by Alain du Monde and Jeannie, the “genie” in the bottle. It features what appears to be the first ever music video, featuring Marina and the Diamonds, and a special guest performance from Mystery Jets. The 90-second episodes will appear online, seeded through blogs and on Facebook.

'CO2eux Soirée' builds on Stella Artois’ first Recyclage De Luxe show, which highlighted the brand’s commitment to doing the right thing by taking small steps to improving its environmental performance in a unique and stylish way.

Adam  Oakley, Marketing Director, Stella Artois Western Europe said, “Our new lightweight bottle contains less glass, which means less CO2 emissions when it comes to the bottle production – and with over 250 million of these bottles produced each year, small steps do make a real difference.”

Stella Artois is also celebrating the introduction of its new lightweight bottles with a heavyweight poster campaign, and engaging consumers with a unique on-pack promotion, Is Jeannie in Your Lightweight Bottle? Each specially marked promotional pack will carry a unique code which consumers can enter online at www.isjeannieinyourbottle.com.  A virtual “Jeannie” will appear on screen to reveal the prize – every pack is a winner, with prizes from 50p to the top prize of £100,000.  After the prize is revealed, the consumer can choose to keep the prize money, or donate it to one of our eco charity partners: The Tree Council, WaterAid and the National Energy Foundation.
